Who Are We?
Covenant is a Reformed Baptist Church which adheres to the London Baptist Confession of Faith - 1689. We began with four families gathering to worship on Sunday evenings commencing June 26, 2005. Since that time, we have shifted to morning and afternoon worship services, along with weekly fellowship lunches. God has blessed us with the addition of many new members, deacons and elders as we trust God with helping grow His kingdom.
What’s in a Name
Covenant Reformed Baptist Church
Covenant- We believe that God has from all eternity had only one covenant purpose, plan and people as set forth in the Bible.
Reformed- We affirm:
❖ The Doctrines of Grace:
Total depravity of man. Unconditional election of the saints. Limited (particular) atonement. Irresistible grace of God. Perseverance of the saints.
❖ The Solas of the Reformation:
Sola Scriptura – The Scripture alone is the standard.
Sola Fide – Justification by faith in alone.
Solus Christus – By Christ’s work alone we are saved.
Sola Gratia – Salvation by grace alone.
Soli Deo Gloria – For the glory of God alone.
❖ Semper Reformanda – always reforming the Church for God’s glory.
Baptist- We believe that baptism is for believers only and to be done by immersion and that churches are to be locally governed under the headship of Christ.
Church- We esteem the Church as the Bride of Christ for whom He died and gather as a local community of believers assembled for worship, fellowship and witness.
